The Italian government announced recently that it will be hosting a Women’s 7 – bringing together specialists, governments, civil society and academics to discuss the range of women’s issues including leadership, access to quality jobs, work-life balance to close the wage gap and violence against women as well as sexual and reproductive health rights.
The two day meeting will be hosted by the Italian Presidency and take place in Rome on the 7th & 8th April. The meeting will provide input to the G7’s planned roadmap on women and girl’s economic empowerment which will be presented to the G7 leaders in May. The roadmap will be drafted by a new G7 working group focused on gender.
